If you haven't seen the two-DVD set, "The Impressionists", you don't know what you're missing!

I rented it from Netflix and absolutely loved it. It is an enactment of the lives of Monet, Renoir, Manet, Cezanne, Degas, and other Impressionist painters living at that time around Paris. Fascinating and eye-opening!

SOLD! Please email me at JamieWG@aol.com to inquire about a similar painting.

This painting was done over a period of several days on location from one of my favorite painting spots at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River, NY. It is a view of an old farmhouse currently occupied by one of the preserve managers. The fields turn brilliant colors starting in late summer and continuing through the fall.

This is beautifully done Jamie. I enjoy seeing your work on DP! ~Heidi

This is just lovely. So soothing and vibrant. I can feel the breeze and the warm sun in this work. Very impressive.

Heidi, thank you so much. DP is a great motivator for me as well!

Jelaine, I appreciate that you stopped in to comment! I’ve painted from this location so many times. It’s a great spot no matter what direction you look, in any season or type of weather. I even interrupted a flock of turkeys there once. There’s a covered shelter in case of rain. That’s come in handy too from time to time!

Hi Jamie,

This is a sprighty little tree! Your paintings have more of a delicacy and fineness of touch now (or maybe my eyes are just getting better!)

Good luck on the reception. Depending on what work is like when I come back from Europe, I may be able to pop up and see you!

Cheers.
Dana

Thanks, Dana! When you look at a very large painting, viewed online at a much, much smaller size, it always looks more refined than if you’re viewing something closer to actual size. Although I’d like to take credit for greater finesse and delicacy, the size difference between this and my very small works, both viewed here at the same dimensions, is probably accountable for the differences you note!

It would be great to see you if you can break away and come up for a visit. Have a wonderful trip!

ah well Jamie I will just have to see some of your small works to compare! I’ll give you a call when I get back.

Cheers.

Gorgeous colors in this!!!!!

Something to say?
