If you haven't seen the two-DVD set, "The Impressionists", you don't know what you're missing!

I rented it from Netflix and absolutely loved it. It is an enactment of the lives of Monet, Renoir, Manet, Cezanne, Degas, and other Impressionist painters living at that time around Paris. Fascinating and eye-opening!

10×10″, Gouache in kraft paper sketchbook
Oil/acrylic painting of this sketch coming soon…Stay tuned!

I am having way too much fun with gouache sketches on this paper! I am thinking of ways to achieve this look with oils/acrylics on a more archival surface. I think I’m going to give it a whirl for tomorrow’s daily painting.

Jamie: Hi,I do not intend to be complaining but I can not understand why your sites side bars consume so much space. The left side bar on my Monitor partially covers the center of the Screen and after all what is displayed on the Screens Center is what viewing your Site is all about.I don’t believe the problem is with my Monitor but your Web master is attempting to advertise in the side bar space too much. Reducing the side bars would be so much better. Is it my Machine ? JC

John, thank you for letting me know this. I’ve not heard this complaint before, so I wonder if perhaps it is your screen resolution. I will send your comment along to my Webmaster and will post his reply here.

The items on the sidebars I put there myself. I’ve viewed this site on many different computers—Macs, PCs with Internet Explorer, PCs with Firefox/Mozilla browsers, and have never had that issue. If any other viewers out there have this problem, please let me know!

John, I’ve emailed you with my webmaster’s email address, so that he can try to better understand what you’re seeing.

Something to say?
