If you haven't seen the two-DVD set, "The Impressionists", you don't know what you're missing!

I rented it from Netflix and absolutely loved it. It is an enactment of the lives of Monet, Renoir, Manet, Cezanne, Degas, and other Impressionist painters living at that time around Paris. Fascinating and eye-opening!

Golden Fluid Acrylics on archival, sized matboard

I was driving by Hunter Mountain a couple of weeks ago on a little side road. The only snow visible was the snow up on the ski slopes! This has been such a mild winter that it reminded me of the way the landscape looks for spring skiing. I loved this scene and composition. I snapped a photo of it from the car and painted it at home from the photo.

Very nice! Do you mind telling me where the shot was from?

It was shot just east of Hunter, off 23a.

Something to say?
