Jamie, what a moving tribute to a great man. Here’s what has occurred to me over and over since I learned of his death: many of my most-treasured friends are my friends because of Ted–friendships that span the state. And I know I’m not the only person who feels that way, either.

I was with Ted until the last minutes. This was a very nice tribute to him. For those who only knew of his artistic endeavors, it might be of interest to know he was a school teacher for 35 years, a Fulbright Scholar, Director of Training at a local museum, and knew every rose by name. Many people will miss him, and all for different reasons. The only mention he wanted in his obituary was that he “was an educator, and activist for Arts education).
